In the Library module there’s a menu command called “Show Missing Images” that will do the trick.

You can narrow the search area by clicking on Pictures, or to a folder where you keep your photos. If you keep them on an External Drive, you can click on that after clicking on This PC. Or, you can just paste your file name into the search area in the lower task bar.
