The Raw are for home and pro stuff and the jpgs (which should have a Picture setting of high saturation, warm WB, some added clarity and other items to taste) – are for easy transfer to a mobile device for posting or texting.

This question – which is very common – is actually anachronistic, going back to the early digital days when RAW involved a lot of extra work. If you’re using LR (and if you’re reading this, you are) there’s literally almost* no reason not to shoot in RAW. RAW has tremendous advantages and no disadvantages other than file size, which, again, is a retro kind of problem.

*if you’re one of the rare professionals who need JPEGs as part of their workflow, you would know it.
